What information do we collect?
When you register with us, we will gather some critical information, such as full name, address, email address, contact number, patient information, insurance information and bank details for our Pet Health Club. We require this information at Happy Tails Vets to ensure that we give you the best possible service, such as:
Contacting you to remind you of preventative treatments and future appointments/promotions
Registering you as our client and updating your details as necessary
Registering your pet
Making appointments for your pet
Communicating with your insurance company
Arranging tests/results from our laboratory
Subscribing to our Pet Health Club
To other Veterinary Professionals if you request that we transfer your pet’s medical history to another Veterinary surgery
We may share your data with other Veterinary Practices with your consent, our external laboratory, insurance companies (sometimes they require a patient’s medical history to aid with a claim), microchip companies, finance companies who may need to assist due to unpaid debt and RCVS in the interest of animal welfare. We ensure your data is processed and shared following GDPR regulations.
However, from time to time we would like to contact you with details of other services, offers, products and competitions we provide. We will only contact you with regards to this if you have provided consent at the point of registration.
Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Please help us keep your data up to date by letting us know if there have been any changes by e-mailing: bexhill@happytailsvets.co.uk. Any data/information that we do not need will be deleted or securely stored. We will keep your data for as long as we legally require. Happy Tails Vets will not pass on your personal data to any third parties without your consent unless the law requires us to do so.

For the safety of staff and clients, training and monitoring we may use CCTV to record images/voice recording. If we do there will be signs on display advising of this.
